Trekker-photographer-programmer (that combination's pretty popular here in the Philippines) Allan Barredo's got a little discovery here over an unspoiled beach area by Sitio Balinmanok. And while getting there is possible by wheeled vehicles, it's best by boat.
Clear waters he says, with an added bonus: a Chinese vessel wrecked close by and it was trying to smuggle in Shabu drugs over to the Philippines when it encountered a little anchor accident causing its hull to rip and the boat to leak. We'll leave you to check out his blog for the full story and set of great photos of the site.
It's also a great little snorkeling area he says, so if you're ever stopping by this area of Pangasinan near Dasol, see if you can stop by here with a little help from the local fishermen.
